Robert Parker's Wine Advocate"Leitz's iconic 2022 Rüdesheimer Riesling Magic Mountain represents a blend of fruit from all four great Rüdesheimer Berg vineyards. The nose is stunning! It's very clear, refined and elegant but also intense and complex, with this unique mineral complexity that only a few sites in the Rheingau have. Yeasty notes from the long sur lies aging merge everything—fruit, minerals, texture, body—perfectly and make this a Rheingau classic we don't have to wait for that long. The palate is polished, crystalline, precise, linear and very elegant yet still discreet regarding its hedonistic features, which is good because it's from the magic mountain—an excellent description for the what the Rüdesheimer Berg is. This selection is even finer and more complex than the Rüdesheimer Ortswein. The finish is remarkably intense, long and structured. If Josi Leitz had been a Rheinhesse (Rhenish-Hesse), he would have classified this a premier cru, and this wine would have really deserved this noble term. 13% stated alcohol. Screw cap.
